Step 11 Completed

So in the last few posts i have made i have mentioned one or two things that i was expecting to come up that should boost the project a little. One was a rebate from one my suppliers that i was not expecting, and the other was totally out of the blue.

Firstly the vendor rebate, this was un expected, i had not even dealt with the vendor in over a  year, but got a letter and just had to fill in the bank account and get the funds transferred. This was $37.20 which is a great contribution to the project.

The other addition recently was even more out of the blue, it was a rebate from the rewards program on my Visa card. Yes just a couple of dollars ($2.35) but really better then nothing i say.

Both of these additions have been added on and it not only takes me over the edge of step 11, which is now complete, but also sits be just under half way to completing step 12. With a total of $96.25 in the project as of now.

As it stands, i should be expecting the payout from an online rewards program in the next few weeks, and also am still working hard on building the content on my websites, and attracting visitors. Ad revenue is still low, however it is doing better then nothing, and something i am working to build. Also i am looking at options for just what i may be able to add to some of my sites in way of products or services to build other sources of income.

Been Thinking

Have been thinking about ways that i can generate income for this project. Finally the other day thought of making use of my camera and taking some photo’s and placing them on a stock photography site. I dont think that it will generate a huge amount of income, but thought that it may help with a little bit.

So today i did go out and take some photo’s still to see how they came out and to actually go and see what is involved in putting them on stock photography sites, but that is something i may dedicate some time to tomorrow.

Today has mostly been put as a writing and rebuilding the traffic to my sites day. The traffic has dropped on my main two blogs (http://www.nofixedoffice.com and http://www.joelbrown.id.au) because i stopped following i suppose the most obvious things i need to do, which i even wrote in a post on joelbrown.id.au, so feel free to check the post out, because i am going to reread my own advice and get following on it. Here

Payout Request

Well, i actually requested the payout from the online rewards program that i am a member of today. It will be a nice $30 added to the project. However in going through what you need to for the payout, i find out it takes something like 6 to 8 weeks to get it. While this is not to bad, it is just a little drawn out.Oh well nothing like waiting.

This is i think the biggest problem i find is the waiting for payouts and payments and such. You waste so much time waiting for the money. Just like the rebate from the supplier i am waiting on. Yes maybe i did not expect it but, that doesnt mean that it does not become drawn out waiting process.

Update on Progress

Well, work has been getting to me a bit more so in the time factor. Changing times and such and trying to adjust sleep patterns back and forth takes a good deal of time and energy away. I am not sure if it would be much different if it would be much different if i was on the same shift all the time, but i can fell the changes more so.

Even though there are a few things that are working and building for me. While my websites did have a small drop off in traffic last month they actually generated a fairly small amount of ad revenue, but possibly the most to date. Even though it was generated i wont be counting it in the project until i actually get the cheque and bank it. As i figure there is no point counting something you do not have and cannot really use as yet.

Additionally while i have reached the level for payout on one online rewards program i still have not actually got the cheque sent out. Partially because there was an option to get it directly paid to the bank, but trying to work out how to do this and if it gives you more or not? Something i am looking into still, but this will add $30 once i get it sorted.

When i was shopping today i found a book in the car park, looks close to new, and i think it normally sells for $10, so will probably put that onto Ebay and see if i can get a dollar or two for it.

Finally i am awaiting a payment from a supplier for a rebate that i never even knew i should be expecting, however i get it anyway. So it is going to go into the project, and will add a little over $35.00, I cannot remember the exact amount but will check and when it comes through add it to the total.

The $1,000 day goal is still something i am to achieve. The closest i have come so far is about $250 in one day, from a website that i created however, it was one that had to go through my business, and not be included here.

So the current position of the project is sitting at $56.70 on step #11. With any luck i should be able to move past this step and onto step 12 within the week. Though will keep you updated.
