With many of the little things i have bought up over the last few years, i have sold fairly small amounts, and still have quite a bit of stuff (probably 2 or 3 boxes) that i think i could sell at a market stall.

Originally the markets that i had been considering to visit to set up a stall was i thought a handmade products only market. However after visiting it last weekend, it seems that if these requirements still exist they must have been relaxed quite a bit. There was still a majority of hand made stuff, but a number of stalls that offered gifty items that is kind of like what i have that i want to sell.

So i am going to look to get in touch with the organizers and look to setup a market stall maybe not this weekend but maybe for next weekend.  Initially as a test of the waters to see what is and is not good for sales. If it works out i may look to find consistent suppliers and have a stall on a regular basis.  Should be able to add some good money to the project here if this does work out.

As for the project overall, i am fairly aware that i am doing kind of poorly overall. The money i have in the project has not gained very much in quite some time. However for the most part it is something that i am working on very much so. I have a few area’s that require little to happen or just for me to really put the effort in to actually gain some money here quickly. So i just have to get in and make it happen.

Today i have launched my new site. The new blog that i have created and will be the primary contributor for is called No Fixed Office and you can visit the blog at http://www.nofixedoffice.com .

It is a topic that i imagine would be of interest to anyone attempting the double your way to a million project or any similar project. The primary reason i believe this is because i see this project i am undertaking as really a lesson in building flexible income, which really should be something you can do from anywhere, anytime that you like. The discussion will cover quite a range of different topics, from the potential of having no fixed office, through to the technology that enables it, as well as some ideas where to take you office for the day.

As it stands i have made very little advance toward deriving much if any income from my online projects. As a total i have actually received a full nothing from any of the websites i have. However this is i suppose to a good part my own fault as i have not really monetized them very well at this point.

However this is what i am aware of, and i know that there may be something that i can do about it when i want to.  The thing that i am still not really even looked at, is the potential of other income area’s such as Ebay, I have junk i could sell, the primary issue i have here though is the way that they have things set-up, i can understand the feedback system to help potential buyers and sellers see how someone has acted previously.

What i really don’t like about ebay though is the fact that it isn’t a true free open type of market, people are often hesitant to bid in some cases in case they show their intention’s to early and someone else gets in. While other items are left at their starting bid only to get a single bid just before they close. One option i would like to see is that which is employed by one or two other auction sites i have visited that upon a bid, within the last few minutes the auction is extend for another 5 minutes or so. It would encourage more people to bid with their true intentions rather then to try and get in at the last minute.

Anyway i may try one or two things on ebay just to see what i can make from it with my junk.

I have mentioned i believe once or twice a new website i was working on. Well that actual site is still in the works, and may be for sometime. I just have not been able to get motivated on it to create content, a design or anything.

However obviously i was much more motivated on the other topic site i am working on which i should be annoucing in a few days. I have some good content coming together for the site, as well as some other great things happening for the site. I don’t want to launch the site by just putting it there and letting it limp along, i want it to a big hit, because i think it will be some information that many people need as that kick to get them started on a good path.

In other news, i am looking at getting together all the items that i have with potential sale value at markets and look to find contact details and attempt to get setup for next sunday a market stall. I have a good range of products i would like to try and sell here and just need to pull it all together and get it done. Should be able to make some good profit off them as well i thinks, will just have to see how much i can put into the project.

I have begun to realize just how much stuff i have accumulated in my years here so far. It really does grow very quickly and i think that it is time that i try to get rid of some of it. A very large portion of the stuff i want to get rid of has probably been sitting in a box or the same place that it is now for maybe even 2 or 3 years.

I figure that the large portion of this stuff is almost entirely stuff that whatever i can get for it is up for this project. The odd thing is worth over $100 dollars but the far majority is $5 or $10 items, which some may even cost more to advertise then i get, but any profit after advertising and such will go straight in here.

I figure that i will probably be able to add a few hundred dollars from clearing stuff out and if i really push it maybe nudge the $1000 mark, but that would be the upper limit i believe in the short term. At this point this is about the only idea i have to build a bit more of a fund the $9.58, I am sure that once I have some more money in the project i will be able to ramp things up quite quickly.

While placing an order with one of my suppliers last night, i came across their clearance section. For the most part they have generally had pretty poor range of products in their, really stuff that is only worth dumping for cents.

However yesterday, i think i may have got some good deals. There had entire range from two different suppliers of products that retail around $20 going for $1 each. Even taking into account sales tax and such, i think i can easily make a $3.50 profit on these. I have made a small order just to see what they are really like quality wise and such, but if they turn out to be ok i am going to buy up and try to do a market stall or two coming into christmas or maybe some ebay auctions.

Mostly they would be great little stocking stuffer’s for kids or such. With some of the other little gifty type items i have bought up cheap before i may be able to make a go of this i think, and hopefully make a few hundred dollars for the project.

Ok, ok i know that this is a very small gain, but i want to record, any gain that i do have. It is that time i think it happens just every 3 months where the bank decides to be so super generous and give there like .01% interest on the money you have in your spendings account. Well i got about 9cents, which i am throwing into the kitty, all up this brings me to about $9.58.  Still in my opinion small pickings and i think it is becoming obvious i am not putting as much mental effort into this. The thing that i think will get me focused is once i can manage to get it into triple figures which i assure you will happen eventually i just have to figure out exactly how.

Finding and pursuing a decent profitable business idea, is not that easy. While i am sure that there is absolutely heaps of potentially profitable business models out there yet to be found, or created. I am thinking i am about as far from finding one as you can get.

I actually thought i had found the perfect one just this week, however when you have someone trying to sell you something that has potentially good profit and supposedly almost no competition. It does start to hit home that maybe they are either not sharing all the facts or maybe choosing to omit some. I suppose it could have been worse i could have spent the $12,000 on the machine being sold (which may have had some potential to make money), just not as great a potential as i was being led to believe.

Really the amount of time that i have put into investigating some of the businesses that i have looked at over the last 12 months, i think there must have been something i could have better used my time on. In some respects if i did not have to work another job it would have been kind of helpful. However how do you have money to invest in a business if you are not earning it from somewhere. Admittedly this is probably the last problem i should have. The businesses i am looking at i could easily afford to finance.
